On many Chinese cars with a 2-liter engine, the coolant temperature can reach 100°C even with the air conditioner turned on. The safe temperature is considered to be 85-90°C, and the risk zone is already higher.
Why is this happening?
Modern motors are equipped with an electronic thermostat. It adjusts the temperature depending on the load:
- low load (plugs, warm–up) – the thermostat restricts the flow of liquid;
- medium load (calm driving) – gradually opens;
- high load (acceleration, off–road) - opens completely.
In the city, the car most often operates in the first two modes. The thermostat does not allow the engine to cool down, the temperature is rising, and this negatively affects the life of the engine.
Finally:
- The oil ages faster and loses its properties.;
- the risk of detonation increases;
- rubber and plastic parts wear out ahead of time;
- the overall life of the engine is reduced.
We have developed our own algorithm for controlling the electronic thermostat. It adjusts the operation of the cooling system.
You get:
- stable temperature of 85-87°C instead of 100°C;
- the oil lasts longer and retains its properties;
- protection against detonation and overheating;
- prolonging the life of the engine.
The service is relevant for: owners of Tank 300, Tank 400, Tank 500 (including Urban), Haval Dargo, Geely Atlas and other Chinese cars with a 2-liter turbo engine.
